Phil Whyman's Dead Haunted: Paranormal Encounters and Investigations
RRP: £14.99 Our Price: £7.13 (subject to change) ReviewsDEAD HAUNTED - Dead good! Review date: 2007-05-10 Rating: 10 out of 10 I have just finished reading DEAD HAUNTED by Phil Whyman and thought it was really good. I am just beginning to discover the world of paranormal investigation and after seeing Phil on MOST HAUNTED I thought I would buy the book in the hope of furthering my understanding of this fascinating subject...and I can honestly say that I was not let down! I have read other books of this genre and have found them hard going on occasion, using too many complicated theories or jargon. Thankfully, I was able to follow Phils explanations quite easily. I highly recommend any interested in the paranormal to purchase this book...as my title says - it's DEAD GOOD! BUY IT Review date: 2007-04-10 Rating: 10 out of 10 Speaking as someone who has been involved with paranormal investigations for over 7 years I have say I enjoyed this book! Very readable for both those who have experience and those that are new to the subject, Phil Whyman shows an obvious passion for the subject without the obvious 'need to thrill' so often found in books on the same subject. I did not find his writing arrogant at all - just an obvious enthusiasm to share his experiences and views with everyone. The book has some great photography and is a highly recommended read. Excellent read Review date: 2007-04-10 Rating: 10 out of 10 This book has to be ranked top for me. It has great content, Excellent reports and some interesting theories. Have been a skeptic on this subject and this book opened my mind to theories i didnt know excisted, a definate must for everyone interested in the paranormal world. Must add. I found Yvette and kieran's book a bit hard to get into and therefor it's found a new home on the shelf.. Average Review date: 2007-04-10 Rating: 4 out of 10 It was an okay book. Not among the greatest and anyone who has spent time on investigations would find this at an average read. Mr. Whyman comes across as slightly arrogant at times and speaks as if no one really knows about the paranormal other than those he has worked with. Paranormal is a personal interpretation and, as a book of his own viewpoint, this is written at a level easy to read for most average investigators. For those who have gone on more than the paid ghost tour, this is probably a bit too easy of a read. I would recommend Ciaran O'Keefe's book recently released with Yvette Fielding for a more scientific and skeptical perspective that is written for a more experienced investigator.
